Telepath, Starkey, Basha
It was a wonderful Friday night down at Soundlab when I went to go see Telepath, Starkey, and Big Basha. I went down to the concert with a few friends and were meeting more at the show. It was about a fifteen minute wait to get into the show. It was about another fifteen minutes before the music actually started.
The first act was Big Basha who is a dub step DJ from Buffalo. I like what he spins and especially that he spins hip-hop every once in awhile. He is also a really nice guy. I watched his entire set with a good feeling on how the night was going.
The next act was Telepath, who I did not enjoy as much. It was repetitive and just did not do it for me. I walked in and out of their set a few times and was very glad when it ended.
Finally Starkey the Philly street bass DJ was setting up and I was right up in the front for this. The Beginning was good but later on in it kind of fell apart. His needles broke on his turntables and it seemed like he was fighting his equipment at the end of the night. It was still better than Telepath in my opinion. I noticed a lot of people had left before his set was over. I thought that was kind of shitty. I stayed for the entire time cause I payed money to get in.
Overall it was a good show, a good night spent. I got some cool photos and got to see some decent music.

Night Walk.
Last Saturday night my friend Tom and I went for a walk. It was a walk we had taken a few times before. We covered about 8 or 10 miles from Tom's house. The walk started out on Harris Hill and ended on Genesse then back down Transit to Main. I think it took about 2 or 3 hours, but time didn't matter that night. We took our camera's with us and were taking strictly night shots. Some of my photo's turned out well and some of them didn't.

Fall of Troy
On April 14th 2010 I saw Fall of Troy's farewell show at the Mohawk place. It was amazing. It was everything I expected and more. Fall of Troy has come to Buffalo a few times before but I had never taken the chance to see them. I regret that; this show blew me away. So here is how it went down.
I went down the to concert with my friends girlfriend Kathie. We were meeting Michael down there, he was driving up from Fredonia. So we all met up and went to get something to eat at the local gas station. After eating we went inside to a packed Mohawk place with the band sitting at the bar. We made our way into the crowd seeing a few familiar faces, we looked at the merch, we went back outside. The first band was about to go on so we headed back in.
The first band was from Scotland, do not remember their name for a certain reason. They were not that great. Int resting but not that good. We left after a couple songs and came back for the second band who was setting up and then they began to play. We left.
On coming back I stopped to talk to a friend who was also talking with Thomas Erak and Andrew Forsman. Mike and Kathie had already walked inside. I was being introduced to the band minus one member. They were pretty cool. I was glad to have met the band during the last show in Buffalo. We talked for a minute then I went inside to a cover of House of the Rising Sun being played by the Second band. I'm glad they said it was their last song.
So after about fifteen minutes of waiting outside and for the bands to break down and set up I was on the brink of the dance floor. I decided I would get right up into the front. I got pretty damn close; as close as I was going to get at that point. The band walked on stage and everything seemed so perfect. They went into the first song and it was like a bomb went off. If memory server correct it was Mouths Like Sidewinder Missiles. The first few songs were off Doppelganger. Every song was just tight; listening to what this band produces it just immaculate. It is just arranged and played so well. Very, very talented musicians. Hearing this bands recordings makes it hard to believe they're just a three piece band.
Into about ten minutes of the show I took of my glasses and hat and kept them from getting stomped on. Kids were crowd surfing and trying to get as close as possible as Thomas Erak would come into the crowd while absolutely throwing down on guitar. Everything was wet, the band members, the crowd, me. It was a truly intense expedience one that will stick with me.
Finally the last song was announced and it was F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. off of Doppelganger. And the crowd went absolutely insane and so did I. It was a complete devastation when the song was over. I might not ever be able to see this band again; but they completely reinforced my idea of this band being amazing in all aspects. I left the show a ridiculously happy man. I had just seen a great show, and met the band.
I forgot to mention. I bought a disposable camera for this.
